George Russell can be ‘galvanising force’ for Williams F1 in 2019
Stroll’s team-mate, the Russian Sergey Sirotkin, could retain his drive, while another possibility is that Williams promote reserve driver Robert Kubica to a race seat.
Who will drive the other car?
Difficult times indeed but by taking on Russell, who does not bring funding, Williams have made the courageous decision to go with talent over backing. He will be the first British driver to race full time for the team since Jenson Button in 2000.
