Cybex International UK, a leading supplier of premium commercial fitness equipment, has today been announced as an Official Supplier to Williams Racing.
The announcement was made at the opening of the new Williams Cybex Gym, a 330 m² training facility onsite at the team’s headquarters in Grove, Oxfordshire.
Home to more than 35 pieces of premium cardiovascular and strength training equipment from Cybex, the new gym will be used by Williams’ 700+ staff, including the team’s pitstop crew and drivers Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas when onsite at the team’s headquarters.
The gym comprises equipment from Cybex’s 700 cardio series and the new SPARC, Cybex’s self-powered resisted cardio machine which was launched in the UK last month. The gym also includes equipment from the Eagle NX and Prestige VRS selectorised strength lines, Bravo Functional Trainer, Big Iron lifting platform and a range of plate loaded, free weight and functional training equipment. Also installed were Concept2 rowers and a functional rig from Exigo.
As part of the exclusive five-year agreement, the Williams Cybex Gym will become a new UK showcase site for the fitness equipment manufacturer; Cybex will also have access to the Williams Conference Centre to host a series of dinners throughout the season.
